Ashlee Brooks Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

Good friend, co-worker, Dallas native, and fashion designer, Ashlee Brooks recently debuted her Fall 2012 Collection at LA Fashion Week last month and was quite a hit.  Ashlee studied Fashion Design and Business at Baylor University in Waco, TX, and founded her brand, Ashlee Brooks Collection, in 2009.  Ashlee Brooks Collection is a womenswear brand which, “adds a modern twist to the classic silhouette,” as depicted on www.ashleebrookscollection.com.

Last month at Sunset Gower Fashion Weekend 2012 in Los Angeles, Ashlee Brooks Fall 2012 Collection was featured first (Baier, 2012).  Shari Baier, writer for LA Fashion Magazine stated, “Ashlee Brooks is a fast rising name in fashion,” Brooks designs were full of rich fall colors and sheer fabrics; which were certainly a crowd pleaser (Baier, 2012).  Filled with contemporary and chic designs, with a mix of structure and elegance, these designs were a perfect fit in this fairytale-themed collection (e-news, 2012).  The collection included fabrics such as silk, cashmere blend, and leather (e-news 2012).  An article on North Texas e-news stated, “The Collection displays the undivided talent of Founder/Designer Ashlee Brooks: solid craftsmanship and tailoring,” offering a generous and highly accurate assessment.  The collection featured cocktail dresses, formal dresses, riding pants, and riding jackets in rich colors such as merlot, burgundy, grey, and black (Baier, 2012). Her designs are unique and eye catching.  I would definitely wear all of the pieces, as each one expresses individuality and appeal physically flattering.   In LA Fashion Magazine’s review on Brooks Collection, Baier finished in saying, “With her unique style and elegant femininity, Ashlee Brooks is certainly on our list of designers to watch,” and I couldn’t agree more.  Check out images from the fashion show and collection below and be sure to like Ashlee Brooks Collection on Facebook.
